Twelfth Night Performance

Well done to all students involved in Twelfth Night!

Through all of your hard work, imagination, and commitment, you put together a production and event to be proud of.

Staff who had seen previous productions said that the set up was the most professional-looking it had ever been, thanks to the Marketing, Front of House, and Art teams. From my perspective, I’ve never had such excellent student leaders, as well as cast & backstage who have taken the whole process very seriously.

Parkside Sixth IB Results

Parkside Sixth Students are World Beaters!

Students at Parkside Sixth are celebrating the college’s best ever set of results in their International Baccalaureate Diploma exams.

Students at the international sixth form in the centre of Cambridge achieved a pass rate (93%) and a points score (33) above the world average in this rigorous qualification taken by tens of thousands students across the globe. Those who take the IB Diploma study six subjects and a core with a dissertation and critical thinking course.

There were some outstanding individual results among the cohort. Eli Rubiés scored an exceptional 42 points out of 45, which will take her to Wadham College, Oxford, to read Classics. Maya Smith, Lucy Kear and Aoife Murphy all scored over 40 points, a score achieved by only 10% of students internationally. They will go on to study Law at UCL, International Relations at Edinburgh, and Midwifery at Anglia Ruskin.

Jess Pearce, Head of Sixth, said: “I am very proud of our students. They have worked hard and have achieved excellent results. It has been a real pleasure to work with them and I wish them all the very best for the next steps in their lives.”

Jodh Dhesi, Headteacher, said: “Parkside Sixth is firmly established as a great place to study for sixth form. If students want a rigorous, broad, internationally-recognised, academic education in the very heart of Cambridge, this is the place to come.”

These excellent results have been gained just a week after Parkside Sixth was authorised to deliver the International Baccalaureate Careers-related Programme, starting in September.
